ACHIEVEMENTS / IMPROVEMENTS

Responsible for provision and promotion of all finance, business partnering and advice for the Instrumentation Division in this £25m+ turnover division (£65m organisation), managing five main brands in four locations : Agar Scientific, Digitron, Hartest Precision Instruments, Qados and Queensgate.

• Key member of Division Senior Management team, developing strategy to grow volume and profitability
• Finance member of Group Restructuring Management team– planning, implementing and monitoring of closing / moving sites.
• Member of Group Senior Finance Management team
• Senior member of IFS implementation team (ERP system) replacing numerous legacy systems
• Improved relevance, quality, provision and timeliness of reporting, including sales & orders, sales price, team performance and material costs
• Restructured teams from 13 members to 9, whilst improving service to all customers
• Successful in Application, Submission and Receipt of funds for R&D Tax Credits and Technology Grants
• Managed and developed team – across 4 sites
• Established strong controls and reporting in all sites and re-established strong relationships with external auditors and successful audits.
• Developed strong Budget, Forecasting and Cash Management processes. Achieved reductions in Direct costs, Overheads and DPO’S.
